Ranked fourth-best regency nationally (EPPD 2022)
Based on the 2022 Regional Government Performance Evaluation (EPPD), Karanganyar ranked fourth among the best regencies in the country. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian presented the award in Makassar on 29 April 2023, and Regent Juliyatmono received it in person.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) data from the March 2022 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) recorded 88,560 people living in poverty in Karanganyar (9.85%), down 0.75 percentage points, or 6,850 people, compared with 2021.
